Biman’s Dhaka-Kathmandu flights suspended amid Nepal restrictions

Biman Bangladesh Airlines today suspended its Dhaka-Kathmandu-Dhaka flights after the Nepal government extended the temporary ban on all flight operations to and from the country until 6:15 pm (local time) on Wednesday.

The national flag carrier was compelled to halt operations in compliance with the Nepalese government's directive issued in light of the prevailing situation there, said a Biman press release here this afternoon. 

Passengers of yesterday's (September 9) and today's suspended flights will be notified of fresh arrangements once further instructions are received, the airline said.
