IRGC says intel chief Khademi killed in ‘US-Israeli strike’

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps says its intelligence chief Majid Khademi has been killed in an attack it blamed on the US and Israel.

The IRGC said Khademi was killed earlier on Monday, according to statements carried by Iranian media, reports BBC.

There was no immediate confirmation, with the Israeli military saying it would “look into” the report.

Khademi had taken over the role after his predecessor Mohammad Kazemi was killed in an earlier Israeli strike.
