Gas supply turns off in parts of Dhaka

The gas supply to homes and CNG filling stations in several areas of Dhaka and its adjacent areas has been turned off for repairing the mechanical error.

According to the Titas Gas Transmission and Supply Company, the gas outage has begun on Saturday morning and it may be prevail for next 24 hours. 

Authorities said, the people of Kalabagan, Mohammadpur, Shyamoli, Dhanmondi, Agargaon, Ashulia, Savar, Aminbazar, Manikganj and Dhamrai areas are experiencing the outage. 

Confirming the matter, Shafiqul Islam Khan, Deputy Manager of system operation department (north) of the gas transmission company, said the authorities are conducting an urgent maintenance work in the gas transmission system.
