No route permit for any new bus in Dhaka

Route permit won't be given to any new bus in Dhaka city, Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) mayor Sayeed Khokon has said. 

The mayor said this after a meeting of bus route rationalisation committee at the Nagar Bhaban on Saturday noon.  

If the Road Transport Corporation feels the need of any route permit, then they can take permission after discussing with the committee, he said.

Newly arranged public transport system will be initiated in Dhaka city from next June-July, he added.
