Abdul Matin Khasru dies of Corona

Abdul Matin Khasru, president of the Supreme Court Bar Association and former law minister, has died of a coronavirus. He was 71.

He breathed his last at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in the capital at 4:45pm on Wednesday, Supreme Court Bar Secretary Barrister Ruhul Quddus Kajal told The Daily Samakal.

He was put on life support yesterday at the CMH as his health condition deteriorated.

The five-time lawmaker from Cumilla-5, gave sample for Covid-19 test on March 15 and on March 16 he was diagnosed as coronavirus positive and admitted to CMH.

He was elected SCBA president for 2021-2022 on March 11.
