PK Halder wants to return to the country

Prashant Kumar (PK) Halder, who fled to India after embezzling around Tk3,500 crore, has expressed wish to return to the country.

He is now on a three-day remand following his arrest in India. During the interrogation since his arrest, he broke down in tears.

However, after the remand of the first day on Sunday, he has recovered a lot on Monday. Meanwhile, he has claimed that all the allegations brought against him are false.

As he entered the ED office in West Bengal after a medical checkup on Monday, he told reporters that he wanted to return to the country. Daily Samakal's West Bengal correspondent Shubhajit was present there.

"All the allegations against me are false," he told reporters at the time. "I want to return to the country."
