Dhaka Int’l Trade Fair begins January 21

This year the month-long Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) will begin at its permanent venue, Purbachal in Dhaka on January 21.

The timeline for the trade expo was settled upon at a meeting that took place at the commerce ministry on Monday.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to formally inaugurate the DITF this year, as stated by Senior Commerce Secretary Tapan Kanti Ghosh.

The showcase usually begins on January 1, however this year it was delayed because to the general elections on January 7.

There may not be as many international companies this year due to the short lead time for preparations for the event.
