JCI organizes workshop on cyber crime and security

JCI Dhaka North organized an advocacy workshop on Cyber Crime & Security “Protect Your Identity" on 27th July for the people who do face tough times on cyber spaces as well as those who are under possible treats of cyber issues and who want their cyber life safe.   

Technology is evolving very fast. We are taking advantages of technology in our daily lives. Internet is becoming a household word. But, how many of us are actually safe on internet, how many users get a trust-worthy environment to use internet for daily needs. From tech-experts to academician, from representative of law-enforcing agencies to law practitioners, they all have notable identities to share insights, experiences, suggestions and eye-opening case studies, said a press release. 

Mr. Sharful Alam, Chief Operating Officer, aamra networks limited spoke about the Role of ISPs in ensuring safe internet, Internet ecosystems, forward and backward linkages for Data Privacy. Mr. Ishtiaq Ahmed, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Cyber Security & Crime Division, Dhaka Metropolitan Police focus on how severely the crime is increasing and what consequences we might face. Mr. Tanzim Al Islam, Advocate, Supreme Court of Bangladesh focused on how we can secure our cyber uses and can keep ourselves safe from different cyber-attack and crime. Dr. B M Mainul Hossain, Associate Professor, Institute of Information Technology, University of Dhaka, shared the case studies on how people overcame incidents. 

During the program, Mr. Irfan Islam, National President of JCI Bangladesh, National Vice President Mr. Arman A Khan and other members of JCI Bangladesh were also present. Mr. Ziaur Rahman was one of the COC of the event. Event was moderated by Local President of JCI Dhaka North Ms. Mahira Habib.
