41 arrested during drives in Cox’s Bazar Rohingya camps

During a search operation in Cox's Bazar's Rohingya camp, the Armed Police Battalion (APBn) detained 41 Rohingyas, including six who were charged with murder.

According to Faruk Ahmed, assistant superintendent (media) of APBn-8 in Cox's Bazar, of the arrested individuals, 28 were eventually imprisoned for varying lengths by mobile courts for various offenses.

Syed Alam, Juanyed, Mochon Ali, Osman, Taher alias Lala Futia, and Shoayeb are the six people accused of murder.

According to the APBn spokesman, operations against criminals in the Rohingya camps will continue.

According to police officials, the drives have been going on because there have been more homicides inside the camps recently.

Since June of this year, 14 Rohingya people have died, including at least seven this month.
