Mymensingh-Jamalpur rail link snapped

Rail communications of Mymensingh-Jamalpur route have been suspended following derailment of a freight train carrying oil in Biddaganj railway station area this morning.
The rail route remained snapped since 7:25am, after four bogies of the Jamalpur-bound freight train from Dhaka veered off the track.
A salvage train from Mymensingh reached to the spot and started rescue operation, said Zahirul Islam, station master of Biddaganj Railway Station.
