Woman, grandson found dead in N’ganj

An elderly woman and her grandson were found dead in Narayanganj on Thursday morning.

The bodies were recovered from a house of an Italy-expatriate at Mijmiji Kandapara in Siddirganj upazila around 10:00am.

The deceased were identified as Parvin Begum, 48, caretaker of the house and her grandson Mehedi, 9.

Mohammad Sarfuddin, additional superintendent of police (Zone-Ka) of Narayanganj, said locals smelt an unpleasant odour coming from the locked house of Tofazzal Hossain, an expatriate of Italy and informed police.

Police later recovered the bodies from the house, he added. 

The elderly woman and her grandson, who used to live at a room of the house, might have been strangled to death, he added.
