5 burned in Ashulia gas pipeline blast

Five of a family sustained burn injuries in a gas pipeline explosion in Ashulia of Savar on Friday morning. 

The accident occurred at a house in Manikganjpara area around 7:30am.  

The victims were identified as Arab Ali, 50, his wife Hasina Begum, 40, son Abdur Rouf, 25, Rouf's wife Ripa, 20, and their daughter Ayesha Moni, 2. 

The injured were admitted to the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH).

Monirul Islam, officer-in-charge (operation) of Ashulia Police Station, confirmed the matter.
