2 found dead in Chuadanga

Police recovered the bodies of two suspected criminals, including a drug trader, from Gobindahuda village in Chuadanga's Damurhuda upazila on Thursday night.

The deceased were identified as Jhantu, 42, son of Abul Hashem, an alleged drug trader and Firoz Hossain, 45, son of Moshar Rahman of the upazila.

Jhantu was a listed criminal and wanted in 11 cases, including that of drug, while Firoz was an outlaw leader. 

Tipped off that two gangs of criminals were exchanging bullets in the area, a team of police went to the spot, said Sukumar Biswas, officer-in-charge of Damurhuda Police Station.

At one stage, police recovered the bodies of Jhantu and Dhulo and sent those to local hospital morgue for autopsy.

One LG shotgun, two bullets, four hand bombs,three sacks of Phensidyls and four machetes were recovered from the spot.

Both are suspected to have been killed in a gunfight between two groups of criminals over controlling the drug business and previous enmity.
