Bullet-riddled body of rape accused found in Savar

The bullet-riddled body of a person, who was the main accused of a case over death of a ready-made garment worker after being gang-raped, was found.

The body was recovered from a field inside the Amin Model Town in Savar's Khagan area on Thursday night. 

A paper written with 'I am the main culprit of the rape case' was found hanging from the throat the deceased -- Ripon (39).    

Confirming the matter, Abdul Awal, officer-in-charge of Savar Model Police Station, said the body has been sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.  

Earlier on January 5, a female ready-made garment worker was gang-raped. The victim died on the following day.
