3 workers burned in N'ganj boiler explosion

Three workers sustained burn injuries in an explosion at a steel mill in Sonargaon of Narayanganj last night.   

The incident took place at Rahim Steel Mill of Nayabari area under Kanchpur union of Sadar upazila. 

The victims were identified as Makbul Hossain, Shamsul Haque and Sagor Ahmed. They were admitted to the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). 

An explosion occurred while the victims were working on melting iron on Thursday night. Suddenly, the iron melting boiler exploded, leaving the three workers injured, said Bachchu Mia, inspector of DMCH police outpost. 

Makbul suffered 90 percent burns on his body while Shamsul and Sagor sustained 20 percent burns, he said quoting the doctors.
