Bus-microbus collision kills 8 in Chittagong

At least eight people were killed in a head-on collision between a bus and a microbus at Chunati Jaillartek in Chattogram's Lohagara upazila early Thursday.

Another 30 people were also injured in the road crash took place on Chattogram-Cox’s Bazar highway. 

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately. 

The accident occurred around 12:45am when the Cox’s Bazar-bound bus from Chattogram hit the microbus coming from the opposite direction, leaving eight people dead on the spot and 30 others injured.

Mizanur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Dohazari Highway Police Outpost, confirmed the incident to Samakal.
