Accused stabs another accused to death in Cumilla court

An accused in a murder case stabbed another accused to death in front of the Judge inside a Cumilla court during hearing on Monday.
The incident took place in front of Judge Begum Fatema Ferdous of Cumilla Sessions Judge (third) court in the courtroom around 11:15am.
The deceased was identified as Faruk, 27, son of Ohidullah of Laksham in the district.
Cumilla Police Super Syed Nurul Islam said the incident took place when Hasan, 27, stabbed Farukh with a knife indiscriminately while the hearing in the murder case was going on in the court, leaving him critically injured.
Faruk and Hasan are cousins and both are accused in the murder case, said the police official.
Faruk was taken to Cumilla Medical College and Hospital where doctors declared him dead, he said adding that police arrested Hasan after the incident.
