Nusrat Faria in Kashimpur Jail

Actress Nusrat Faria has been taken to Kashimpur Women's Central Jail in Gazipur at around 2:30 pm on Monday.

Senior Superintendent Kawalin Nahar of Kashimpur Women's Central Jail confirmed the information and said, "Nusrat Faria was brought to the jail in a prison van at around 2:30 pm."

Earlier, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sarah Farajana Haque ordered Nusrat Faria to be sent to jail after the hearing on Monday morning. Her bail hearing has been fixed for May 22. Nusrat Faria was produced before the court at around 9:00 am on Monday.

Immigration police detained Nusrat Faria from Shahjalal International Airport while she was going to Thailand on Sunday.

She was then taken to the Detective Branch (DB) office for questioning. Later, she was shown arrested in a case of attempted murder of a student in the Bhatara during the anti-discrimination movement.
