Sumaiya Shimu in Birangana character

Talented actress Sumaiya Shimu has acted in the character of Birangana (War heroine) for a drama titled 'Jaitu'. 

Jahir Karim wrote the story of the drama based on Bangladesh's Liberation War while Simanto Sajal directed it.

"We should not forget the contribution of the War heroines during our Liberation War. It is necessary to present the history to the new generation" said Sumaiya Shimu.

Actor Rawnak Hasan acted opposite Sumaiya Shimu in the drama.  

The single episode drama 'Jaitu' will be aired on a satellite TV channel on December 16, the Victory Day.
