Shammi’s nomination disqualified, Pankaj’s valid

The nomination of Shammi Ahmed, the Awami League's contender for Barishal-4 and secretary of international relations, has been disqualified.

Returning Officer Shahidul Islam cancelled her nomination on the final day of the scrutiny after learning that she held two citizenships.

Meanwhile, it was decided that the current lawmaker, Pankaj Nath, had a valid nomination.
