Hefazat-e-Islam leaders visit Afghanistan at Taliban’s invitation

A seven-member delegation from Hefazat-e-Islam arrived in Kabul of Afghanistan on Wednesday morning at the invitation of the Taliban government. 

On Thursday, they met with the Chief Justice of Afghanistan’s Islamic Emirate. 

The delegation, led by Nayeb Amir Maulana Abdul Hamid and including Joint Secretary General Mamunul Haq (also Amir of Bangladesh Khilafat Majlis), Maulana Abdul Awal, Maulana Abdul Haq, Maulana Habibullah Mahmud Qasemi, Maulana Monir Hossain Qasemi, and Maulana Mahbubur Rahman, is set to meet Afghan ministers, senior Ulema, and high-ranking officials.

According to a press release, the visit aims to strengthen diplomatic ties and enhance cooperation in trade, commerce, medicine, and education, while also fostering better relations between Bangladesh and Afghanistan. 

The delegation will also visit earthquake-affected areas. 

Prior to this, on September 14, the group, including Mamunul Haque, travelled to Saudi Arabia for Umrah and met with expatriates to discuss the upcoming Khatme Nabuwat Mahasammelan, scheduled for November 15 in Bangladesh.
