Muhith’s health improves, says foreign minister

Former finance minister and Awami League advisory council member AMA Muhith's health has improved to some level, according to the foreign minister, who visited him in hospital on Monday.

"Muhith Bhai's physical condition is a little better today (Monday)," stated Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen in a Facebook post, seeking everyone's prayers for his brother's complete recovery.

Momen claimed earlier on Sunday that his brother has no significant illnesses and that his diabetes and blood pressure are under control.

“However, he is fragile. He is refusing to eat. He hasn't had anything to eat in a long time. As a result, he has lost a lot of weight and has lately been brought to the hospital,” said Momen.

Muhith, who is now 88 years old, was recently brought to a metropolitan hospital because he was unable to eat any food.

In July of last year, he tested positive for Covid-19, but he recovered.
