Tamim Iqbal retires from ODI captaincy

Tamim Iqbal, the 34-year-old Bangladesh ODI captain, made the announcement of his retirement from the role of captaincy.

He also announced that he wouldn't participate in the upcoming Asia Cup as a player.

Tiger opener Tamim came up with the disclosure after a meeting with BCB Chairman Nazmul Hasan Papon and BCB Operations Committee Chairman Jalal Yunus on Thursday.

He also said that he had informed the Prime Minister about his latest decision.
