ACC clears chargesheet against wife of ex-minister’s APS

The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) on Wednesday approved a chargesheet against wife of Shoumendra Chandra Shoylan, ex-APS of former State Minister for Religious Affairs Advocate Shajahan Mia, reports UNB.

 

The Commission in its regular meeting approved the chargesheet against Shoylan’s wife Shanta Chandra for allegedly acquiring illegal wealth worth Tk 1.4 crore, ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told.

 

The meeting also asked ACC investigation officer and deputy director KM Mishbah Uddin to submit the chargesheet before court soon.

 

On February 22, 2015, the ACC filed a case against Shanta Chandra with city’s Ramna Police Station for allegedly accumulating wealth illegally.

 

Earlier in 2015, the national anti-graft body submitted a chargesheet before court against Shoylan in a graft case.
