Jatiya Party (Ershad) presidium member Majibar Rahman died at his residence in the capital’s Uttara early Saturday. He was 75.
Elected parliament member for Lalmonirhat-2 constituency six times, Majibar Rahman breathed his last around 4:00 am, said his son Bablu, reports UNB.
He left behind wife, three sons, two daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
He was a member of the standing committee on the religious affairs ministry in the previous government.
