Huge explosives and grenades were seized from a flat of Mohammadpur area in the capital on Saturday noon.
The explosives and grenades were seized while Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Deputy Commissioner, Masrukur Rahman; ADC Sanwar Hossen and DIG Monirul Islam conducting a drive in the area.
Deputy Commissioner Masrukur Rahman said, acting on a tip off, the law enforcement agencies have been conducting drives since Friday night but explosives and grenades are seized today.
The explosives and grenades, however, were defused later on, the DMP sources confirmed.
Earlier on Friday night police detained two alleged militants from capital's Badda area.
