College student found dead in Dhanmondi Lake

A college student who left home in a huff two days ago following an argument with his parents, was found dead in Dhanmondi Lake on Tuesday morning.

 

The deceased was identified as Sudipto Dutta Arjun, 19, son of Ashim Kumar Dutta, resident of Rayerbagh area and an HSC candidate of Bir Shreshtha Noor Mohammad Rifles Public School and College, reports the UNB.

 

Locals spotted the body floating on the lake in front of ‘Simanto Square’ around 8 am and informed police.

 

On information, police recovered the body, said Md Mashiul Alam, sub-inspector of Dhanmondi Police Station.

 

Later the body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

 

Victims’ family members said Sudipto was missing from Sunday night as he went out from the house after a quarrel with his parents.
