Arrest warrant against Moulvibazar Razakars issued

The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 today issued warrant of arrest against three alleged Razakars of Baralekha upazilla in Moulvibazar district.

 

The two-member tribunal issued the warrant against Abdul Mannan, Abdul Aziz and Abdul Matin, accepting a plea from the prosecutor Sabina Yesmin Khan Munni, reports the BSS.

 

"Mannan alias Monai Miah was the leader of local Muslim League. Aziz and Matin are brothers and went to Barpunji camp in India to undergo trainings to fight the occupation forces. Later, they fled the camp and joined Razakar Bahini in their locality," the prosecutor told.

 

"The investigation officer launched probe against the trio on October 16, 2014 and found evidences of their involvement in crimes like rape, looting, abduction and arson. For completing proper investigation and justice, they should be kept behind bars," she added.
