JPC to introduce fellowship, award on Int’l Women’s Day

The Jatiya Press Club (JPC) will introduce fellowship and an award from the next year on the occasion of the International Women’s Day.

 

JPC President Muhammad Shafiqur Rahman made the announcement at a discussion held at the club auditorium on Tuesday, marking the day.

 

JPC General Secretary Quamrul Islam Chowdhury moderated the program, the UNB reports.

 

Presided over by Shafiqur Rahman, the function was addressed, among others, by Prime Minister's Information Adviser Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, JPC senior vice-president Monjurul Ahsan Bulbul, its vice-president Amirul Islam Kagoji, Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) secretary general Omar Faruque, Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) president Shaban Mahmud and its general secretary Sohel Haidar, and senior journalists Azizul Islam Bhuyian and Abdul Jalil Bhuiyan.
