Iqbal Mahmud made ACC chairman

The government has appointed former senior secretary Iqbal Mahmud as the chairman of Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

Former judge AFM Aminul Islam was also made a member of the three-member anti-graft institution of the country.

Cabinet Division Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam confirmed about the new appointments to Samakal on Thursday.

The appointments were made as the ACC chairman M Badiuzzman and member Md Shahabuddin served out their terms on March 13.

Iqbal Mahmud was the secretary of public administration ministry and economic relations division.

In 2012, he was made alternative executive director of Asian Development Bank.
