6-month given to remove unapproved entities from residential areas

The government has given a six-month deadline to remove the unapproved institutions and commercial establishments from the residential areas in Dhaka city.
The decision was taken from a regular cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the Secretariat in Dhaka on Monday.
Briefing media after the meeting, Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam said on expiry of the deadline, authorities will remove such commercial entities within a month.
The Cabinet secretary said hotels and guest houses at residential areas will be shut down and land owners will be given six months to remove them.
All kind of commercial entities at residential areas will have to be removed by six months, said Alam.
