Protests rage against JnU student’s murder

General students of Jagannath University (JnU) on Thursday blocked the roads in front of the campus and in Bahadur Shah Park area protesting the killing of their fellow Nizam Uddin, a student of the university, and demanding immediate arrest of the killers.

A section of students staged the road blockades while another section staged a sit-in in front of Mitford Hospital around 10:30am, reports UNB.

Earlier on Wednesday night, Nizam Uddin, a third year student of the university, was hacked and shot to death by a group of miscreants at Ikrampur in old Dhaka city.
