AL leader shot in Patuakhali

A local Awami League leader suffered bullet injuries in an attack by miscreants at Mirzaganj village in Mirzaganj upazila early Sunday, reports the UNB.
The injured is Gazi Mohammad Selim, 40, president of ward no 7 unit AL of Mirzaganj union.
Officer-in-charge of Mirzaganj Police Station Mizanur Rahman said a group of miscreants numbering 5/6 entered the house of Selim breaking open the door at about 2:30 am.
Later, the attackers loot six tolas of gold ornaments and cash Tk 55,000 and opened fire at Selim, leaving him injured.
Injured Selim was rushed to Patuakhali Medical College Hospital.
