Traffic constable crushed under truck in city

A traffic constable was killed as a speeding truck hit him while he was on-duty  in front of Fatema Filling Station of Kutubkhali area in the city  early Monday.

Police said Constable Delwar Hossain , was on-duty  under Demra Traffic Zone in the morning, reports UNB.

A speeding truck hit him in front of Fatema Filling Station at around 6:20am and fled the scene, said sub-inspector Jahangir Hossain of Jatrabari Police Station.

He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead, he added.

The body was sent to DMCH morgue for autopsy.
