Atish Dipankar Gold Medal for 12 persons

Country's twelve celebrated persons will be awarded 'Atish Dipankar Gold Medal' this year.

 

Atish Dipankar Research Council announced this today, said a press release of the council here, reports BSS.

 

The gold medals will be distributed soon to mark 31st anniversary of the council.

 

The 12 celebrated personalities will get the award for their outstanding contributions in different fields.

 

Vice-Chancellor of the World University Professor Abdul Mannan Chowdhury, Vice-Chancellor of Atish Dipankar Science and Technology University Professor Dr Md Nazrul Islam Khan and Former Chairman of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) Dr Md Abdul Mazid will get the award for social development.

 

Other personalities to get the award are : Chief Engineer of the Public Works Department Md Hafijur Rahman Tipu in National Infrastructural Development, Journalist Amar Shaha who is also a Kolkata Correspondent of the Bengali daily Prothom Alo in Journalism, Bangladesh Bar Council Chairman Advocate SM Rezaul Karim in Journalism, valiant freedom fighter Amulla Mohon Sarkar in Bangladesh Freedom Movement, Al-haj Md Nazimuddin and Wahidul Hasan Milton in Social Services, Sultana Razia, Reznu Khan and Jesmin Akter in literature and Abdul Mannan in Research.
