Another RU teacher receives death threat

Two weeks after the gruesome murder of Professor AFM Rezaul Karim Siddiquee, another Rajshahi University (RU) teacher received death threat over mobile phone on Sunday.

Md Mahbub Alam Prodip, assistant professor of the department of Public Administration of the university, received the death threat this afternoon.

“When I received the call from a number (+8177479) at 2:45pm, the caller told me, “This is the end of your life; you have exceed your limit, just wait,” said Mahbubul.

“He echoed his words when I inquired about his identity. Then he cut the call and the line is busy since then,” he added.

Later, a general dairy (GD) was filed with Motihar Police Station in this regard.

Humayun Kabir, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of the station, said that the assistant professor sought security from them.
