'MP slapped me entering into school'

Shyamal Kanti Bhakta, the headteacher of the Piyar Sattar Latif High School of Narayanganj's Bandar upazila, who was humiliated publicly alleged, 'Entering into the school on that day, local Jatiya Party lawmaker AKM Selim Osman, has slapped me four times.'
The humiliated headteacher's allegations came after Selim Osman today told journalists, 'I did not humiliate a teacher, I gave punishment to a person who made offensive comments on religion.'
Selim Osman in a press conference held in the district on Thursday also said, 'There is no question of seeking mercy in this regard.'
After Selim's press conference, Shyamal Kanti Bhakta also told journalists, 'Selim Osman can say anything to save his MP post.'
'I am feeling insecurity after the humiliation,' he also warned.
Earlier on May 17, the management committee of the Piyar Sattar Latif High School of Narayanganj's Bandar upazila had suspended Shyamal Kanti Bhakta over allegations against him.
But the Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid today said, the management committee of the school which had suspended its headmaster Shyamal Kanti Bhakta, has been dissolved adding, 'Shyamal is reinstated as the headmaster of the school.'
On May 13 (Friday), Shyamal Kanti Bhakta was beaten up by local people and made to do sit-ups holding his ears in presence of the local Jatiya Party lawmaker AKM Selim Osman as he allegedly hurt the religious sentiments making some derogatory comments.
