Prime Minister reaches Madina

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, now on a five-day official visit to Saudi Arabia, reached the holy city of Madina this morning from Jeddah.

 

Madina Governor Prince Fasial bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received the Premier at the Royal Lounge of Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz Airport at 11.20 am local time, reports BSS.

 

The Premier in a ceremonial motorcade was then taken to Madinah Hilton where she would be staying during her visit to Madina.

 

Later, Sheikh Hasina offered Zohr prayers at Masjid-e Nababi here. She will also offer Asr, Maghrib and Tarabih prayers at the same mosque and offer ziarat of Rawza Mubarak of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH). 

 

Sheikh Rehana, the younger daughter of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, and Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali, among others, are accompanying the Prime Minister.

 

The Prime Minister will leave Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz Airport in Madina for home at 10.30 am on Tuesday morning.

 

She is scheduled to reach Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 7.30 pm (BST) the same day. The Prime Minister arrived in Jeddah on Friday on a five-day official visit to Saudi Arabia at the invitation of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
