Ashraf’s remarks to harm unity: JaSoD

Inu-led JaSod faction has claimed the Awami League General Secretary Syed Ashraful Islam’s remarks accusing JaSod of creating the ground for the assassination of Bangabandhu will harm the unity of the pro-Liberation camp.

Shirin Akhter, General Secretary of the JaSod faction, came up with the claim on Tuesday from a rally staged in protest against the death threat to Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu.

“Bangladesh is going ahead with the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Hasanul Haq Inu has also announced war against the extremist and militants. At the mean time, these types of remarks of Syed Ashraf will harm the unity of the pro-Liberation camp,” she said.

Syed Ashraf at a discussion with Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) of Dhaka University yesterday said JaSoD was responsible for creating the grounds for the assassination of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The veteran ruling party leader also voiced that Awami League will have to pay for making a government minister out of a leader of the party.
