Indian envoy visits Ramakrishna Mission

High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh Harsh Vardhan Shringla on Sunday visited Ramakrishna Mission in Dhaka.

After visiting, the high commissioner expressed his satisfaction over the security provided there by the government.

The envoy was accompanied by First Secretary (Political & Information) Rajesh Uike, First Secretary (Consular) Ramakant Gupta and Press Attaché Ranjan Mondal.

Harsh Vardhan Shringla reached the mission around 12:30pm today. He stayed here for two hours.

During his visit, he met with all the maharajas of the mission and appreciated the on time action taken by the government following the issuance of the threat.

The visit comes a day after a priest of the mission filed a complaint with police that he received a letter from the Islamic State Bangladesh chapter threatening his life.
