No primary terminal exam from this year

The government would not take the primary terminal examination of the class five students from this year.

Primary and Mass Education Minister Advocate Md Mostafizur Rahman Fizar disclosed the news while speaking to journalists at his Secretariat office on Tuesday.

The minister said that Junior School Certificate (JSC) exam will be held with due manner but the primary terminal exam would not be taken from this year.

The decision, however, would be finalised at the cabinet meeting, he added.


Earlier on May 18, the government extended the primary education up to class eight and had taken it under the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education from the previous grade five.
