100,000 illegally registered SIMs seized, 22 held

Police have seized a total of 100,000 illegally registered SIM cards and arrested 22 people in this connection from Dhaka’s Tejgaon area.

They were arrested in a drive last night, said a text SMS sent to media by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s (DMP) media wing.

The text SMS has been sent on behalf of the DC of Tejgaon zone.

Details in this regard will be disclosed at a press briefing latter in the day.
