Viagra pills, knives seized in special drive at Shahjalal

Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate on Thursday seized Viagra pills, knives and electric blankets from a consignment of airport foreign post office at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

These were seized in a special drive aiming to search for illegal weapons, explosives, drugs and such risky materials. The directorate joint commissioner Shafiur Rahman led the drive.

The drive was started around 2:30pm. The Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate Director General Dr Mainul Khan briefed media at around 4:00pm after ending of the drive.

A total of 7,420 Viagra pills, 8 knives, 3 electric blankets and some other sex arousing tablets were seized from the consignment of the airport foreign post office in the special drive, he said.

“This special drive was started from July 8 and it will be continued till July 23,” he added.
