Kalyanpur schools, colleges shut for security

All the schools and colleges in the city's Kalyanpur area where nine suspected militants were killed in police firing during an operation by a special team of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) early Tuesday, have been closed out of a security concern, reports the UNB.

 

S Ahmed Khan Saiful, headmaster of Holly Crescent Model School, said, “Guardians got scared at the incident and phoned me.”

 

“I contacted the authorities of a good number of schools and colleges in the neighborhood and we reached a decision to keep the institutions shut for the day on security ground,” said the headmaster.
