President visits Bangabandhu Memorial Museum

President Abdul Hamid today visited Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi here in the capital, this afternoon.

 

Curator of the museum Nazrul Islam Khan received the President when he reached the museum premises at Dhanmondi Road No. 32 along with his two sons and grand children, reports BSS.

 

He placed floral wreaths in front of the portrait of Bangabandhu inside the museum and stood in solemn silence there for sometime as a mark of respect to the architect of Bangladesh.

 

A special munazat was offered seeking divine blessings of Bangabandhu and his family members who embarrassed martyrdom on August 15 in 1975. President Hamid also went round different parts of the museum.

 

Bangabandhu Museum President Hashem Khan and member-secretary of the Bangabandhu Memorial Trust Sheikh Hafizur Rahman accompanied President Hamid during the visit.

 

Abdul Hamid also signed the visitor's book kept in the museum.
