SP Babul Akter relieved from duties

The Superintendent of Police Babul Akter has been relieved from his duty over the murder incident of his wife Mahmuda Khanam Mitu.
A Home Ministry gazette notification, signed by its Deputy Secretary, Ilias Hossen, has confirmed in this regard, this evening.
Earlier police had released Superintendent of Police Babul Akter after quizzing him in a bid to get more info about the murder of his wife Mahmuda Khanam Mitu.
Several suspected killers were also arrested for their involvement with Mitu murder and Babul Akter has been quizzed to verify their info, according to the police statement after the murder.
Earlier on June 5, Mitu, 32, was stabbed and shot dead by unidentified assailants at the port city's GEC intersection on her way to drop her son to school.
