Militancy to be wiped out at any cost: RAB DG

Director General (DG) of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Benazir Ahmed on Saturday vowed to stamp out militancy from the country at any cost.

"Militants would not be allowed to destroy the country. The militancy will be stamped out at any cost," he said this while addressing a programme as the chief guest.

"The militants are in a shamble due to the continuous efforts of the law enforcers," he said at the fresher's reception and orientation programme at South East University in Dhaka's Tejgaon.

South East University Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr AFM Mafizul Islam presided over the function. Among others, Deputy VC Prof Dr Humayun Kabir Chowdhury and registrars and deans of different faculties spoke on the occasion.

“Like Razakars, there is no room for the militants in the country. People hate the militants. Being militants their parents also have not received the bodies,” said the RAB boss.
