7 ‘JMB men’ held with 67 tolas gold

Law enforcers claimed to have arrested seven members of banned militant outfit Jama'tul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) with gold ornaments weighing 67 tolas in the capital.

Members of the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit arrested the JMB men from Tejgaon area of the capital on Monday evening, said a text SMS sent to media by Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

Alongside the gold ornaments, the law enforcers also recovered arms, cash money and a huge amount of robbed goods from their possession, the SMS said.  

Details about the drive will be revealed at a media briefing later in the day, said the DMP’s SMS.
