'Khadija getting well'

Khadija Begum Nargis' health condition is now improving day by day, say Square Hospital's duty doctors.

 

She is recovering gradually, they confirmed.

 

'Khadija was gone through a surgery in her right hand on last Monday and now she is going well,' said Dr. Mirza Nazim Uddin, consultant of Medicine and Clinical Care Department of Square Hospital.

 

Some days ago, her life support system was opened completely.

 

Dr. Mirza Nazim Uddin at that time said, 'Her life support system has been opened completely and she is taking breath normally.'

 

Earlier on October 5, Badrul Alam, the Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) leader of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) unit who hacked Sylhet college girl Khadija Begum Nargis, has given confessional statement over the murder attempt.

 

The BCL leader gave the confessional statement before the additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court of Sharaban Tahura in Sylhet in this regard.

 

On October 3, Khadija Begum Nargis, 23, a student of Sylhet Government Mohila College and daughter of Masuk Miah, a resident of Hausa village in Sadar upazila, was hacked on her way home from college by Badrul Alam, the assistant secretary of SUST unit of BCL.

 

Hearing screams of the victim, locals rescued Khadija and caught Badrul from the spot and handed him over to police after giving him a good thrashing.
