Filling station owners threaten non-stop strike

Bangladesh CNG Filling Station and Conversion Workshop Owners Association threatened to go on a non-stop strike from October 30 if their three-point demand remained unmet.

The association announced the programme at a press briefing at its office in capital’s Kakrail on Wednesday.

The three-point demand includes cancelling the Roads and Highways Department’s decision to increase leasing charges, withdrawn of the proposal to raise the price of gas and quick implementation of the recommendations of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry.

Earlier, Bangladesh Petrol Pump O Tank Lorry Malik Shramik Oikya Parishad also threatened to go on a non-stop strike from October 30 if their demands including hike in sales commission and checking of incessant road rental hike are not fulfilled.
